  • First-time Homebuyers
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien or Qualifying Alien
  • Meet Income & Acquisition Requirements
  • Principal residence; Must occupy property within 60 days of closing
  • IRS filed TAX returns for past 3 yrs – all Borrower(s) & Spouses

MCC TIME LINE REQUIREMENTS
  • Within 10 days of loan closing, the lender will submit an MCC compliance packet which will contain the required documents listed in the CalHFA MCC Tax Credit Closing Packet Checklist.
  • The loan reservation is a 90 day lock.  The clock starts when the loan is reserved in this program.

  • CHDAP….  if you are using the CHDAP (down payment assistance program) – click herefor requirements
    • underwriters certification should be done OR updated after CalHFA approval for CHDAP.
    • closing forms should be printed after approval for most updated information

    • underwriters certify prior to closing
    • Income worksheets required (including VOE & Paystub requirements)

eHP System Training*- After you complete the online Lender Program Training, information is provided as to what happens next. To register for eHP System training, Click here. Please make sure you sign up for system training*; do not wait until the last minute and put your loan closing at risk.

Recurring (experienced) system users do not need to attend system training.
