We recognize Dawn Arnold, President, and COO of InvestAtlanta, for accepting the nomination to serve as President of the Board for a second term. Dawn’s dedication and passion for working with the Affordable Housing sector are genuinely inspiring, and we wish her another successful term.
We are pleased to acknowledge other key HFA leaders from nationwide who comprise the NALHFA Board. In addition to Jim Shaw, Executive Director of Capital Area Finance Corporation, who will serve as the Immediate Past President, Cheree Gulley, Executive Director of the Miami-Dade HFA, has been elected as Vice President of the Board, and Damon Burns, President, and CEO of FNO has been selected to serve as Treasurer.
We also extend a warm welcome to the newly elected individuals who will be serving on the Board. Vivian Benjamin, Assistant Director of the Montgomery HOC, Bill Brewer, Executive Director of Nevada Rural Housing Authority, and Evan Miller, Acting Director of URA Pittsburgh, all bring diverse backgrounds and valuable experience to the Board.
Additionally, we would like to congratulate the Pima and Tucson IDAs for their Essential Workers Program and MetroDenver for their Social Equity Program. These HFAs have been recognized with the Housing Excellence Award for creating unique programs that help specific populations.
