Hurricane Ian

President Biden Major Disaster Declaration

Our heartfelt prayers go out to all that have been or will be impacted by Hurricane Ian. As native Floridians we know too well the challenges that are ahead of you, the borrowers, and the homeowner communities.

President Joe Biden has approved a major disaster declaration for nine Florida counties in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Funding from the major disaster declaration will be available for people in the nine counties “who have uninsured or underinsured necessary expenses and serious needs.” “The counties include Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Hardee, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota,” said FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell. “They can now register for assistance to begin their recovery process.” Some of the assistance includes grants for temporary housing and home repairs, and low-interest loans to cover uninsured property losses.

eHousingPlus is here to support you during this time and assist you with some essential information.

Some Tips: If you have a loan reservation in a federally declared disaster area, there may be additional requirements to purchase your loan. These may include inspections and other activities. You can find these requirements at the USBANK ALLREGS Portal, which you can access here ALLREGS. Please communicate these requirements as soon as possible to your borrower(s). Program Compliance: Once you have assessed the status of the loan, and potentially have a new closing date, please update the LOAN INFORMATION and the CLOSING DATE on the eHPortal online.

Alternatively, if the property is NOT viable, please cancel the loan reservation.

We are here to help you as much as we can.

Please stay safe.
